So, I can't find the money tree
I think there are times we feel that way, you know.
Where is the money tree?
Where is happiness?
Where is the thing I'm looking for?
It's when we're running around, searching for information,
that we tend to overlook things, I think.
In a certain experiment, even with money hanging on a tree,
most people walked right past without noticing.
Maybe it's worth thinking about what that means.
"Have you looked at the flowers by the roadside or the beautiful clouds lately?"
Most people, I think,
don't notice even when flowers are blooming right in front of them.
Can't tell you what shape today's clouds were.
Can't recall someone's kindness.
That's what I think.
I don't think it's a bad thing
to look at all that information through your phone or computer screen.
But that's information the whole world can see.
The flowers and clouds right in front of you, you won't see unless you're paying attention.
And surely, in those things you can't see unless you're paying attention,
hints toward money
small happinesses
the things we've been looking for
lie scattered around in great number, don't you think?
That's what I think.
Hope you enjoyed this
